We made fathers of the older ones that truly cared for us. With strength and guidance, they made men of us. There were many of us. We were sisters and brothers, not by blood, but by something stronger. We wept together and swore vows to each other. In the tears of our deep lament we let out the pain of abandonment; our tearful faces to the sky, it was to our heavenly father that we cried.

Beware of Medusa’s glare lest you turn to stone, forever cast a statue of fear. She once had beautiful golden hair but incurred the wrath of Athena’s tears, who turned Medusa’s beautiful gaze into a cursed stare. A gorgon she was made after her Poseidon affair, with many serpents replacing the strands of her hair. From her, sprang the brothers Chrysaor and Pegasus after her fateful encounter with Perseus. Her only sin was that her flawless beauty caused the gods to be jealous.

Kiss me now, and take me away from this endless sorrow. Let me find comfort in your whispers and the scent of your hair. In your embrace, let your shoulders be the place for my falling tears. The beauty of your femininity comforts me. Your love is soothing medicine. The doses of you are immeasurable. The potency of your portion is incredible. With you I can be vulnerable. The essence of you is wonderful. Let the depths of my intimacy tell your heart that I love you. Let the truth of my eyes convey that I adore you. Your indelible mark upon my heart signifies that I belong to you. The beats of my heart through still waters ripple. You are my angel — a life-changing miracle. Your utterances are that of an oracle removing obstacles with the force of something mysteriously powerful. You are my medicine; again and again, my spirit calls to you.

The remnants of shattered hopes lay strewn around me as if awaiting to be resurrected suddenly. The cruel irony; I was utterly broken without even knowing — I was listless as I was drowning. I was taken by beauty and ecstasy with heavy breathing. Thoughts of beautiful intimacy taunt me, causing restless craving. Once again, I am alone when the walls close in. I tearfully pray to glide on the glory of an angel’s wings. I arise in the darkness before dawn to hear morning birds sing, seeking the genesis of an intimate awakening.

It was pain that brought us together, and for many seasons we truly loved each other — but it was also pain that cruelly tore us asunder. My tragedy, is that pain refuses to leave me, though in quiet rooms I cry constantly, trying in vain to purge through tears what has become a part of me.

Still, my heart writes letters to her in the wee hours when emptiness pervades and the longing of the soul does not go away. The last words memories replay are, I love you. Please stay.

I adore your femininity. Allow me to wash you hair gently, kissing you intermittently and applying your favorite brand of conditioner. I know it’s something simple, but you look beautiful with your hair wrapped in a towel after a long hot shower. When you curl your hair it reminds me of my grandmother, using her hair pins and rollers. The fresh scent of conditioner and shampoo on you flame desires within me. If you’re too busy to get your feet professionally done, you do your own pedicures with exquisite perfection. Sometimes, you even allow the colors of your manicures and pedicures to be my decision. You know that my favorite colors on you are dark purple, flamingo hot pink, beige cream and plum. Gloss polish is brushed on sanded and filed toes with precision. Curled hair that falls past your shoulders is beautiful and feminine; you look absolutely stunning when you put in your diamond earrings. Smooth moisturized legs without stockings, look so sexy in heels, size seven. If I may say again, it is so subtly beautiful and feminine — like lipstick from a lip imprint on a white napkin. At the end of the day, I massage your feet draped with gold anklets; your perfume still floral and heavenly, erotically intoxicates me. I sit and watch as you slowly take off your makeup in your vanity as you speak to me lovingly.

Morning light highlights the faces of lovers who truly love each other, and with sincere tears, kisses, and beautiful whispers, made vows at midnight to be together forever.

I inquired of an angel all things celestial and ethereal. I asked her the secrets of her existence that make her immortal. I asked her to take me with her on her ascension to heaven so I could leave the pain behind. She said these words lovingly, looking into my eyes — My beloved, your ascension will come with time; I know there has been deep pain and tears for many years, but look at the scenes of your life, you have conquered your fears. The things that cause you sorrow have been already removed from your life. You are stronger than you realize. It was then that she touched my crying eyes, kissed me, and said, Sleep now, and there will be a new beginning in you when you arise.

When resentment seeps in and uncaring whisperings, is when the blooming of love has come to its final ending. It is like a beautiful painting eternally unfinished, but it is so good in the beginning; the intimacy, communication, affection and fucking are always so good in the beginning. Then come expensive lawyers, divorce proceedings, and scheduled visitations.
